Hello,
So, I have been a little MIA on the blog and it feels like it has been forever since we have connected on here! I hope you had a wonderful Summer and I am happy to be checking in again and sharing what has happened over the last few months!

1. Office
Some of you have possibly seen the new office arrangement (see above) and some have not. So, why would I make such a big change in the office? One word - Connection. If you are a current client, you have probably heard me tell you just how important I think our therapeutic relationship is. I believe that when you have had broken trust in relationships, it is very difficult to let other people in. However, when you have the ability to be in relationship with someone safe and realize what a healthy relationship can look like, it can be so healing. I felt that the space in my room was not best set up for creating the level of genuine connection that was ideal. In changing things around, I could create a safe environment in which you still had your space, but there was also more room for relationship.

2. Self-Care.
It is important to me that I hold myself to the same standards that I asked of my clients. I talk a lot about how important self-care is and I needed a little this summer. I will explain more below, BUT, Summer is a great time for me to take some down time as everyone is on vacation and things slow down a little bit. So I took the opportunity to take a little time off from blogging. But I have missed connecting with you and am ready to get back into the swing of things!

3. EXCITING NEWS....

Part of my self care included some news that I found out right before the Summer began. I found out that I am expecting and for those of you who know, pregnancy can feel like you got hit by a bus of tiredness. I had very low energy and needed to take some time to rest and take care of myself.

So, with that being said, everyone is asking....
  1. When are you due?
  2. Are you coming back after the baby is born?
  3. How long will you be gone?

All great questions! I am due in January and plan to work all the way up until my delivery. I plan to help each of my clients prepare for this transition, so you feel the most prepared for my time away.

I ABSOLUTELY plan to come back. I love my job and getting to be a part of each and every one of your lives! You truly make my dreams a reality by allowing me to be your Therapist.

The amount of time that I will be taking maternity leave has many variables attached to it. I obviously want to come back and be at my best. Now, I understand that will be different for a little while, but I don’t want to come back half asleep all of the time. I want to ensure that I can come back and be in a place that I am helpful and supportive to you. I am thinking at least 6-8 weeks and I will take it from there. I plan to talk to you each about this individually so you feel best about this transition.

I do plan to book sessions in advance to help ease anxiety of me being gone for a few months, so please know that this is an option for you.

I am also happy to answer any questions that you may have. Feel free to reply with any questions!!
P.S. It is nice to connect with you again.
Wishing you a great weekend,
