Therapy can both provide you support and education. Education on not only how to support your Loved One, but also how to support you. Education can be helpful in knowing that your Loved One is experiencing normal effects of the abuse. Abuse is destructive and causes for much disruption not only in the Survivors life, but also Loved Ones. Many times, relationships are affected greatly by abuse and the Survivor is often left seeking for survival and this can cause for a lot of unknowns.
