What is HOPE? Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness. - Desmond Tutu Let your hopes, not your hurts, shape your future. - Robert H. Schuller Hope is a waking dream. - Aristotl Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a rewind, fast forward, or pause button in life? Do you ever wish that you could go back and change the way that life happened? What if I told you that this was possible? That you could be the author of your story and create healing from your past and hope for your future. Sometimes life can feel like it gets the best of us and we get stuck feeling like there is no hope. It sometimes feels like we settle for what we have been given, the cards that we have been dealt. This can be discouraging though to feel as if we don’t have hope for anything better. I wanted to take a moment to share some H O P E with you. My #1 value and motto that I live by in being a therapist is helping others provide hope for their future. Life can be bleak at times. We aren't sure when the pain will end, and sometimes, it feels like never. I get to see many of my clients take a deep breath, let their shoulders down, and understand that they don't have to feel this way F O R E V E R. Clients have seen light at the end of the tunnel and hope for their future. They realized that they don’t have to be held hostage by their past forever and that there is an opportunity and ability to feel different. Before this realization, there was nohope that things could get better, but the relief that comes from having this realization is tangible. BUT, let me ask you this:
If you were to write your story for the future, what would it look like? Have you ever thought about healing from your past and writing the fairy tale of your future? Now is your time.
